Its focal point is the opposition between the free motion and tight binding in the interactions between two objects: be it macroscopic (2 dancers) or microscopic (proteins). An interplay between two objects, the way how they affect the dynamic behaviour of each other, how they approach each other, interact, and dissociate, and what repercussions it has, is largely a theme of “Enthalpy : Entropy”.
The performance bridges the performing arts and life sciences: enthalpy-entropy compensation is a commonly-observed phenomenon in drug-protein interactions (biochemistry, molecular biophysics, and medicinal chemistry) and it has been an inspiration for the present performance. On the other hand, the performance itself, may be an illustration of the mentioned physical phenomenon, accessible to non-scientist and to the young audience, thus making a link between arts and science and popularising the science by the means of artistic expression.
