Attracted by nostalgia and voyeurism. we are suddenly followed by familiar, suspicious and curious glances which are seeking our attention in the present time, without interruption.

Based on amateur archives from the 1920's to actual time, The Intruders is co-produced by the video art residency Bandits-Mages and the national french archive Center CICLIC, which gave full access to the artists into their database for the creation of the performance.
The artists watched 4000 family movies, sampling and manipulating 2000 audio and video sequences to create this unique audiovisual performance, which deals with collective memory and intimacy.
The Intruders combines pictures and sounds to lead the viewer on an intensive journey where he is finally confronted with his own impressions and feelings.
