Shanghai’s Art Lab at the MOCA plays host to an event that provides an exploration into the sights and sounds of a city through the creative vision of ten artists. Through both visual and audio mediums this event challenges the listener/viewer to see parts of a city that are often overlooked and often forgotten. Taking minimalism as the focal and creative direction from which to extract the visions, the vent allows a complicated and diverse city to be shown in a refreshing sense of simplicity.
“Watched” is a part of live audio-visual performance by VJ Hean. The video is composed of photos and graphic effects about what she saw in Shanghai such as the laundry out of windows and people who were gambling on the streets. In addition, the confusion by different culture was expressed with minimalist images.
